most successful in my mission! This week we...
- Had to leave the mission to go to Seattle
- Set up splits for a whole day
- Moved from Everett to Mukilteo (now we live next-door to
Boeing-literally)
- Spend all Friday at New Missionary Training
However, we also were able to work with the ward members to come with us to
many lessons, saw and taught many less-active members, and talked to tons
of people! Despite tons of curve balls this week, we saw a lot of success
and that makes me happy:)
Some other highlights of the week:
We are teaching a family (minus the dad because we still haven't been able
to meet him) and they have 3 kids [9,7,5] and they are adorable. Their 5
year-old daughter loves when we come over and is always ready to learn! She
is always ready with the pamphlets and Book of Mormon. She always wants to
pray and reminds everyone else to read and pray. Oh the faith of a young
child. I wish that we could all have that faith and zeal to learn and apply
the gospel!:) Become as little children!:)
We are teaching a man who is dating a less-active member. She is from Peru
and he is actually from Brazil. We are teaching him in Spanish because he
understands--but it fun to speak with the mix between Portuguese and
Spanish! He has committed to be baptized when he receives an answer that
this is indeed what God wants him to do. He is a very humble guy! As we
have been teaching him, it has been really cool to feel the presence of my
Grandpa who passed away a few months ago. He always loved to speak to me in
a mix of Portuguese and Spanish. He served his mission in Brazil and has
such a profound love for those people. It has been fun to feel his presence
as well as the love he has for those people as we have taught this man. So
cool.
Alberto! He got baptized almost a year ago when I was here. He has changed
and grown so much. He's just happy! Bright and beaming. Couldn't be happier!
Drumroll please...LYLI AND ELVIN'S DAUGHTER FROM GUATEMALA GOT HERE THIS
WEEK. This is a miracle. She's 11 and the sweetest little thing! They
haven't been together as a family for over 3 years. For all the time I was
in Lynnwood from May to November of last year (and even way before), they
had been trying to get their daughter here from Guatemala with no success.
BUT she got here this week! AH! There's no words to explain my excitement.
The love I have for this family is inexpressible. She hasn't been baptized,
so we have started to work with her on that goal. I am just so glad she is
here. Their whole family is just beaming with happiness. They all came to
church yesterday as a whole family and loved it. Ah, few experiences can
beat yesterday!
Lastly, Easter! What a great time of year when we can reflect on the life
and ministry of our Savior and His triumph over death so that we too may
have that same blessing.
Challenge: Watch and share these 2 videos as you reflect on our Savior's
life, death, and resurrection this week in anticipation for Easter.

I love my Savior and anxiously anticipate the day when I will be able to be
with Him again.
Have a great week!
