This week flew by just as fast as every other one that has preceded it...we
are back to square one in the quest to find prepared souls, but we are
working, working, working although the time just seems to slip through our
fingers. We have hundreds of "potentials" and "former investigators" that
really shouldn't fall into either of those categories, so we made a long
list of everyone (yes, it's very, very long). We are going to put all our
heart, might, mind, and strength in updating the list over the course of
the next 2 weeks. Hopefully in doing so, we can find those who truly have
potential and interest. It should be good groundwork for whoever comes into
the area next!
This will be a short letter today.
We had a Spanish conference on Thursday and it was fun too see so many new
faces. It reminded me of my first Spanish zone meeting when half the people
in the room were in training. It was just the same this time...except more
than half the missionaries are in training and they are anticipating 6 more
new missionaries in the coming weeks... I would worry about such a young
group of missionaries, but #1 I know this is the Lord's work and He
qualifies whom he calls, and #2 I lived it once and it all worked out. Yay
for growing experiences!
So I am SO excited for General Conference this weekend. I hope that
everyone plans on watching it. I have a newfound love for Conference--I
think I gained it by watching it in the chapel rather than at my house. The
experience is enhanced like 100000x. I invite you all to try it for at
least one session:) There's definitely a great difference!
It was fun to watch the Women's Session this weekend. It's always a great
way to kick off the Conference. It was cool because we watched it in
Spanish in another room with the one sister from our branch who came. It
was powerful to feel the love and power radiate from having so many sisters
untied together although it was only us 3 in the room.
Challenge: If you are a girl and missed the Women's Conference, watch it.
If you are not a girl and you didn't watch it, still watch it! The message
was great for everyone!:)
Challenge #2: Conference is a great opportunity to invite others to feel
the Spirit and receive direction! Invite someone to watch Conference this
weekend! You have 4 chances! (5 if you are a male).
I know that we receive specific guidance and that Heavenly Father knows
what we each need to hear and learn. He will teach us through the speakers
in General Conference.
lds.org and mormonchannel.org will stream it live and it will be available
online after it is broadcasted!:)
Conference is the best. Watch it!
