We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father who is ever watchful, mindful, and loving of us. He is literally our father. We lived in His presence before we came here to earth. He is aware of each of us individually. He knows us personally: our likes, our dislikes, our strengths, our weaknesses. He loves us unconditionally and wants us to return to live with him again. Heavenly Father created a plan, even a Plan of Happiness, whereby each and every one of us may return to live with him again. I love Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer. He is central to that Plan of Happiness. By no other means can we return to live with our Father in Heaven. His atonement is real. It not only can wash away our sins, but it can empower us and give us strength beyond our own.
Joseph Smith, a true prophet of the Lord, restored the true gospel to this earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set up and established the exact same way that Christ's church was set up when He was on the earth. The priesthood, the proper authority and power of God given to man to act in His name, has been restored through Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith, through divine help and inspiration from God, translated the Book of Mormon, an ancient record of the inhabitants of the Americas. The Book of Mormon is true. It works in tandem with and supports the Bible in its purpose to testify of the truth and divinity of Jesus Christ and His infinite atonement. We have a living prophet on the earth today, namely Thomas S. Monson. God continues to offer us help and guidance through divine inspiration and revelation given to the prophet. Prophets are crucial to us. They are the medium through which God can speak to all His children collectively. He gives us counsel for our day and our time, right now! The words the prophet speaks are the words that our Father in Heaven would have us know. The prophet will never lead us astray. The family is central to our existence on this earth. Families are blessed as they embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ. Families serve as our support . Heavenly Father lovingly gives us a family to support us and love us. We are to sustain and serve each other as we progress in this life. Blessings follow as we lovingly serve one another. As we follow the commandments and serve others, our Heavenly Father will bless us endlessly. The blessings that are in store for us are incomprehensible, and they can all be ours if we but follow the Lord's counsel and align our will with His. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I love being a member of this Church. It truly brings me the greatest joy and satisfaction this life has to offer. It has blessed my life beyond measure and I want every other individual to have the opportunity to enjoy the joy and satisfaction that comes from the blessings of living and adhering to the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. |
